Thermal Switch on C-Cap
Starting on April 2019, Celem will add a new feature to all C-Cap capacitors.
Each C-Cap will be equipped with a simple, robust, normally closed thermal switch that enables direct indication of the capacitor’s temperature.
In case of overheating, once the capacitor will reach a temperature of 55 degrees C the thermal switch will open, indicating that the specific capacitor has a problem.
This simple feature ensures that capacitors are properly cooled and eliminates the need of indirect, complicated, failure-prone measurement devices (such as water flow and temperature sensors).
