Mechanical tolerances
The maximum dimensional deviation in length, width, and height is ±0.1 mm, except for the following capacitor models.

Capacitance Tolerance
Celem guarantees a capacitance tolerance of ±10% from the nominal value indicated on the capacitor. However, in practice, our manufacturing process achieves significantly tighter tolerances.
For applications that require high-precision matching, we offer capacitors with tolerances as tight as ±1%, upon request.

Lifetime
Celem capacitors are engineered for long-term, continuous operation in demanding industrial environments. Under proper operating conditions—within the specified electrical, thermal, and mechanical limits—Celem capacitors are designed to operate 24/7 for over 100,000 hours, which is equivalent to more than 11 years of uninterrupted service.
This extended lifetime is made possible by:
- Robust materials such as high-purity polypropylene or mica, selected for their thermal and dielectric stability
- Conduction-cooled designs that ensure efficient heat evacuation
- Oil impregnation, which enhances internal heat transfer and prevents ionization
- Mechanical integrity that resists vibration, thermal cycling, and mounting stress
It’s important to note that capacitor lifetime is extremely sensitive to violation of the operating conditions specifications such as ambient temperature, cooling quality, voltage or current surges, and overloading. When used within specification, however, Celem capacitors offer exceptional reliability and durability, minimizing downtime and maintenance.
RoHs Compliance
All Celem capacitors comply with the RoHS, Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, except the following: All CP models, CPRI200, CPRI300.
UL-94 Certification
For most capacitor models, the resin housing can be replaced with a UL-94 certified resin upon request, leading to that the external components of the capacitor, primarily metal and resin, are inherently flame-resistant. The internal dielectric element is made of polypropylene, which is not self-extinguishing.
Storage Conditions for Celem Capacitors
Celem capacitors should be stored within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
During shipping or storage, it is normal for capacitors to exhibit slight oil seepage (“sweating”). This is due to internal capillary effects and does not affect performance.
